At the end of 2014, Scoff & Banter Kensington went through an exciting period of refurbishment. Beautifully updated with reclaimed furniture and fittings, the restaurant sits next door to the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Vanderbilt in a Grade II listed building. With an eclectic mix of tables for gatherings, large or small, and a private dining room, it’s a stylish setting perfectly paired with down-to-earth, good quality British food. All seasonal, of course.

Choose from a range of carefully tailored menus that cater for all requirements, appetites and diets. Our Bar Menu offers lighter meal alternatives, with dishes such as creamy cauliflower soup and a refreshing pulled pork and pear salad. A hearty and good value Set Menu – 2 courses for £17.50 and 3 courses for £21 – includes succulent seared chicken with sage and onion pressing and hay-baked salmon with brown shrimp croquettes. The Evening Menu, with wine recommendations for each dish, offers an extensive selection of choices from slow roast belly of pork (with that all-important crackling) and pan-seared wild sea bass with mustard and spinach dumpling.

There’s nothing pretentious about the food here and it’s reflected in the atmosphere and friendly service. Mouth-watering, classic English desserts like sticky toffee pudding and Bakewell tart never go out of fashion and do a grand job of warming body and soul when there’s a chill in the air. Lashings of custard, anyone?

Located in leafy South Kensington, the restaurant’s a few minute’s walk from some of London’s best museums and galleries, including the grand Victoria & Albert Museum, Natural History Museum and Science Museum. It’s also just a short stroll to stunning Hyde Park, the largest green space in the capital city. If you’re in need of some recovery time after all that activity, Scoff & Banter Kensington offer a delicious afternoon tea menu, all part of the quintessential English experience. Curl up in one of our bay windows whilst you enjoy a selection of sumptuous sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jams and a selection of cakes and pastries, all washed down with a cup of tea, or three. Why not add a glass of bubbly while you watch the world go by?

We’d recommend rounding off your dining experience with a night’s stay at Radisson Blu Edwardian, Vanderbilt, a luxury 4 star hotel in one of London’s most desirable areas. To keep away the January blues, we’ve got some great deals on, including our complimentary breakfast winter offer, valid until 28th February 2015.
